The Vector Crewing module is a highly flexible crew management system designed to address the needs of modern crewing departments and manning agents.

It is designed to cover all aspects of the seagoing personnel of a maritime company, including staff selection, crew planning, and career development. It offers optional appraisal and performance module, with follow up of training needs and external as well as internal training results for each employee.

The workflow approach of the Vector Management Suite allows for efficient and auditable follow-up of crewing through procedures that bridge the geographic distance of all involved parties (head office, manning office, external manning agent, ships).

The following workflows are fully supported:

The workflows enable the controlled interaction of all parties involved in the crewing process. Predefined processes are followed independent of location through the use of zero-deployment web interfaces, where necessary.

    • Associates the ranks with the Certificates and Training and allows for a quick overview of all certificates or training courses that a specific crew member should have

    • Automatic procedures can produce weekly or monthly reports of what is needed to keep the seagoing force up to the company defined level

  • Crew scheduling, accounting for the following :
    • Flag requirements in terms of numbers per rank, for each vessel type
    • Company requirements in terms of numbers per rank, for each vessel type
    • Crew availability
    • Certificates, training and other qualifications, which are required in order to man a certain   rank at a certain vessel type
    • Performance and appraisal criteria
  • Recording required information regarding the passengers on board
