BASIC FEATURES
Planned Maintenance
  • Work is planned at equipment, system or vessel level by calendar periods and/or running hours. The job definition includes a task breakdown with instructions, (which may include scanned documents), essential spares and required skills/resources to carry out the work. The system takes into account jobs, which are combined and includes rules for jobs superseded by other work
  • Machinery/Equipment specific wear and tear report forms recording data that can be used in trend analysis
  • Automated job schedule preparation, based on the running hours data, taking into account shifts in machinery utilisation
  • Ship and office work re-scheduling (e.g. to dry dock)Ship and office materials planning: personnel can review theforthcoming work schedule and order required spare parts and stores that are out of stock, thus lowering spares and inventory costs
  • Ship based reporting that allows detailed reporting of the work done, spares used, updates the historical records and reschedules the work according the date last done
  • The system also records usage of spare assemblies such as pistons, activating the clocks of those components (frozen while at stock) and tracking both the replaced and utilised items
  • Extensive reporting tools (both static and dynamic)

Defect Management
The defect management modules controls
  • Office and shipboard registration of defects, with detailed classification on the coding of the defect, its origin, its connection to non conformities, vetting inspection observations and class conditions or class recommendations. The system records spares and supplies required, landing status of the defective component, as well as photographic logs
  • Registered defected items are recorded as distinct cases and the workflow mechanism allows for evaluation of the defect severity, and the planning of corrective actions Repair Specification and dry-dock modules
  • Office based review of the defects and maintenance jobs that need to be covered in the period and to allocate to a repair specification
  • The detailed task breakdown (including the usage of standard repair jobs and maintenance jobs) with the associated particulars and component history presents the manager a solid evaluation and decision support system, as well as producing a comprehensive set of specifications which can be used for requesting quotations
  • Further optional modules include quotation inquiry, manual and web based automated quotation input, comparison and ordering totally integrated with budget control
  • Monitors the repair in progress, reporting and authorisation for extras, budget control and invoice reconciliation
  • Equipment, Hull, Vessel Particulars The system has a detailed modelling tool for Equipment and Hull definition, allowing all necessary information, extracted from books, instruction manuals and drawings of different component manufacturers and yards to be presented in a uniform method. In addition the Vector Maintenance Manager allows the definition of multilevel “system codes” and “work types” to be defined and used for detailed analysis and decision support.

Classification
The classification modules allow for consolidation of the certification  requirements of different classification societies into a common format, and providing links to the maintenance program. The process is based on shipboard updating of certificates, lowering the office workload and allowing the office to control the current status. The
system also links outstanding class recommendations or conditions of class with defects and non-conformities, thus monitoring not only the technical repair aspects but also the ISM requirements.

Optional Modules
• Photo, Video Logs
• Ultrasonic logs
• Parameters monitoring
• Chemical analysis monitoring
